His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco confirms High Patronage of Casablanca conferences

Over the last two years we have had the pleasure of working closely with some of the amazing companies in Morocco including Masen, ONEE, ONHYM, IRESEN and of course our partner in the Kingdom, Global Nexus. It is therefore a great honour for us, alongside Global Nexus to receive High Patronage from His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco for the ‘Africa Renewable Energy Forum’ and ‘Gas Options: North and West Africa’ Summit.

This High Patronage comes at an important time as the Portuguese Secretary of State for Energy, H.E. Mr. Jorge Seguro Sanches confirms his attendance alongside, Honourable Aziz Rabbah, Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development of the Government of The Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Honourable Patrick Eyogo Edzang, Minister of Water and Energy of  Gabon, H.E. Honourable Minister Maliki Alhousseini,  Minister of Energy and Water for Mali , and H.E. Honourable Senator Tsitsi Muzenda, Deputy Minister of Energy and Power Development for  Zimbabwe.

Our commitment to the Kingdom has been many years in the making, with our first conference being the Officially Labellised Renewable Energy side event of COP22, the ‘Africa Renewable Energy Forum (ARF)’. This programme was written as a legacy for the Kingdom for when COP had moved to the 23rd edition in Bonn.  The continuation of the conference this year in Casablanca under His Majesty the King’s High Patronage further highlights his commitment to better health globally, increase energy access and alleviate world hunger.

The Africa Renewable Energy Forum is co-located this year with the ‘Gas Options: North West Africa’ Summit which focuses on the Region’s booming gas markets, in which billions of dollars are invested to increase access to energy.

Both these meetings bring together high level participation, CEOs, investors and stakeholders from across the globe and we’re excited to report on the outcomes of the discussions to His Majesty the King directly.

It is important that we recognise our partners and sponsors of these two conferences: DBSA, DLA Piper, ENGIE, Fieldstone, ShellWartsila, White & Case, Cheniere, Siemens, Jinko Solar, ACWA Power, Clarke Energy, Karpowership and Alfanar.

In Honour of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s High Patronage we look forward to welcoming you to Casablanca this month, truly an iconic city of the world.

*Please note discounted rates apply for delegates wishing to attend both meetings
